Todays Product Review is going to be on the Chemical Guys Jet Seal. Jet seal has been around for a little while now and it has had a lot of amazing reviews, Recently I had the privilege of detailing a first time customers 2010 Camaro SS. He opted for a 2-step paint correction and sealant, so what a better time to try out Chemical Guys Jet Seal.
Application: Applying this product is very simple as it is just like any off the shelf or specialty car wax/sealant on the market today. I opted to Machine apply this product as it applies the product more evenly (if you do not have a dual action polisher to apply the product you can also apply by hand). I applied 4 pea size drops of the product to a black lake country finishing pad. This product is very easy to spread so a little goes a long way. After applying the product i allowed it to cure and after about 30 to 40 minutes the product flashed ( turned to a white haze signaling the product is ready for removal).
Removal: To remove the product it is as easy as grabbing your microfiber towel folding it into fours and wiping it away. It literally is that simple! this was one of the easiest products that i have ever removed. It required little to no effort and in the detailing world that means you have a lot better chance of not scratching the paint!
Tips: Make sure to go in a vertical or horizontal motion when applying the product just in case contamination (dust or flying particles) happens to get on the paint while you are applying the product. It is much easier to remove a straight line scratch opposed to trying to remove a circular scratch!
